Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for Building Timelapse (the "Service", "we", "us"), operated by Jupiter Labs Consulting. It covers our one-time credit packs, when Credits can and cannot be refunded, and how to ask for a refund. This policy is part of, and is incorporated into and referenced by, our Terms of Service.

What you are buying

Building Timelapse is sold as pay-as-you-go, one-time credit packs. There are no subscriptions and no recurring billing. When you buy a pack, you make a single payment and receive a set number of Credits in your workspace. The current packs are Starter ($19 for 20 Credits), Creator ($49 for 60 Credits) and Studio ($99 for 150 Credits), in U.S. dollars.

You spend Credits to generate videos. The number of Credits a generation costs varies with the clip length, the quality tier (draft or production) and the AI model you select. New accounts also receive 6 free Credits at signup. Credits do not expire.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Credits already spent are non-refundable

Credits that you have already spent on a generation are non-refundable. This is the core rule, and the reason is concrete: each time you start a generation, the Service sends your images and prompts to paid third-party AI Sub-processors that charge us real compute costs to produce your Output. Once that compute has run, we cannot recover those costs, so we cannot refund the Credits it consumed.

This applies whether or not you are happy with a particular Output. Because Outputs are AI-generated visualizations, results can vary; an Output you do not love still used real paid compute. We encourage starting with shorter clips or the draft quality tier to preview a result before committing Credits to a longer or production-quality render.

Refunds we do provide

We are not running a no-refunds wall. In the following situations we will refund you:

Unused Credits from a recent purchase

If you bought a credit pack recently and have not really used it, you can ask us to refund it. We will refund unused Credits from a recent purchase, at our discretion, within 14 days of that purchase, provided the Credits from it are substantially unused. We refund the unused portion of the pack; Credits already spent on generations remain non-refundable as described above.

Failed generations (no Credits charged)

If a generation fails, it does not cost you Credits. Any Credits reserved for a failed generation are automatically returned to your balance, so there is normally nothing to refund. If you ever see Credits deducted for a generation that clearly failed and they were not returned, contact us and we will correct it.

Duplicate or erroneous charges and service faults

  • Duplicate charges, accidental purchases or other clearly erroneous charges.
  • Clear faults on our side that prevented the Service from working as described.
  • Any refund we are required to give you under applicable law.

How to request a refund

To request a refund, email support@buildingtimelapse.com from or referencing the email address on your account. Please include:

  • The email address associated with your Building Timelapse account.
  • The approximate date of the purchase you are asking about.
  • A short note on what happened (for example, an unused pack, a duplicate charge or a service issue).

This information helps us locate your purchase quickly. We may ask a follow-up question to confirm the details before issuing a refund.

Processing time

We aim to review refund requests within a few business days. When we approve a refund, we process it back to your original payment method through Stripe. After we issue it, the funds typically appear within about 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.

Relationship to our Terms

This Refund Policy is part of, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service, and the two should be read together. Defined terms used here (such as Credits, Outputs and Sub-processors) have the meanings given in the Terms.
